Xterra Midwest Cup

Xterra Midwest Cup

A couple weeks ago I was back at it for the second stop on the Xterra America Series for Xterra Midwest in Battle Creek, Michigan. It was my first time up in Michigan and so I was very curious as to what the course and terrain would be like for the race. From what I understood about riding in the Mi

It's worth noting that as Stephen & I were heading over to the race (about an hour before the women's start) the tornado sirens went off...Hurray for draft-legalness :o) Actually, not all the competitors were in a group, but most were.

Barkin' Dog Du

Barkin’ Dog Du

First of all, I need to put in my vote that this be renamed the Josh Merrick smackdown. After breaking his own course record by 2 minutes and smashing a field nearly equivalent to the national duathon championships, I think this is only appropriate. Also, thanks to Amy and Todd at Mix1

TT Intervals and Trash Talkin'

TT Intervals and Trash Talkin’

In preparation for Littlefoot this weekend Jones and I set out to do TT Intervals at Bear Creek.  After steam rolling Jones by a full 2 seconds on the bike leg this past weekend at Barking Dog I came into the the workout ready to dominate.  Hoping to dig the knife a little deeper I spent about 1/

The Big Ring Push

The Big Ring Push

We left mid morning when the weather was still cool so that most of us were thoroughly layered in our cycling gear. It was early spring in Colorado and the ride, as patched together as it was, was supposed to take us up through the foothills until at last you could crest the top of a climb and gathe
