Let’s (continue to) get this party started…(GO AMY!!!)
The title was the most important thing I had to say, so…for lack of any good transition on this Friday afternoon…
Gotta love that feeling when your entire body acts as if it has rigor mortis during the workout. The onset takes a little longer if you’re not at altitude, but when I did the 8 X 100s all out in the pool earlier this week, I noticed that the feeling that my body had fallen asleep and lost its of range of motion didn’t set in until #5 instead of #3 (like when I was in CO).
3 cheers for o-x-y-g-e-n is all I have to say about that, yet here in OK City, I still wish that I could take away some oxygen & add some hills for training purposes. It’s no wonder why CO is a mecca for triathletes.
Surprisingly, I sort of masochistically liked those 100s. The training I hate most by myself is the not-killer-but-not-easy swim sets - those sets make my other self reemerge…but are necessary & remind me that I’m thankful I don’t have to do them every day.
As for triathlonning (is that a word? :] ) in general - I’m lovin’ it! (Do I have to cite McDonald’s here?)
