2009 Camp Riptide Multisports in Vernal, Utah
Camp Riptide Multisports will be held Monday June 22 thru Friday June 26, 2009. It will conclude with the DinoLand Triathlon on Saturday June 27, 2009.
Camp Information:
- We will be staying at the Steinaker State Park just outside of Vernal Utah. The Steinaker SP is approximately 5min away from Red Fleet State Park where the race site is, and is very easy to get to.
- We have the group camping site at Steinaker that allows us to have up to 75 people there. It is shaded with trees and has plenty of camping and eating space. This site also has bathrooms and shower amenities.
- Meals and snacks will be prepared prior to camp. We will have dinner on Monday June 22nd and then breakfast, lunch and dinner June 23rd thru June 27th. Water and sports drinks will also be available during the camp.
- Athletes will be camping in tents and will need sleeping bags. They will need to bring tents, sleeping bags, air mattresses etc. as this will not be provided. Other things to bring will be: shampoo, soap, tooth brush, tooth paste, towels, lotion, sun screen, and things of this nature.
- Athletes will not need to bring money with them, except about $25. We will possibly go into town for a movie one night.
Additional Athlete Information:
- Athletes will need to sign camp release form, have a copy of there insurance cards/info with them, have their entry to the race paid for, and have their USAT membership current.
- The cost for camp is $100. This includeds food, gas, camping fees, and camp associated costs. It does NOT included your entry into the race.
- Campers need to be able to set up their own tents, sleeping stuff, etc. Coaches and parents will not be doing this.
- This is a training camp and athletes must be ready to train here. This is not a play camp although we will have a lot of fun.
