Dannwolf Nabs 4th at 2012 Talent ID Invitational
By: Riptide Multisports
Amy Dannwolf produced strong results in all three disciplines to take 4th place at the 2012 Talent ID Invitational yesterday in Lubbock, TX.
Getting out of the cold 53 degree water in 4th place, Dannwolf navigated her way through the hilly, windy, and winding bike course to the 5th fastest bike split. Starting the run in 4th, Dannwolf maintained her position with the 2nd fastest run of the day to finish in 4th.
The race was Dannwolf’s first draft legal race and leaves her hungry to gain her elite status and continue racing the format. With her ever improving swim, watch for the emerging speedster to vie for a top three finish this spring at St. Anthony’s Triathlon and CapTexTri that would gain her elite status.
The Riptide Team will compete next weekend at two races. Matt Balzer, Amy Dannwolf, Bethany Hall, Jordan Jones, Dan MacKenzie, Jocelyn Petrella, and Cyrus Severance will all travel to St. Petersburg, FL for St. Anythony’s Triathlon. Pete Mallett will visit Mazatlan, Mexico for the ITU Mazatlan Continental Cup.
