Petrella 9th, Mackenzie 18th at Chicago Triathlon

Jocelyn Petrella took 9th place and Dan Mackenzie took 18th at the Chicago Triathlon.  After a busy month of moving to Boston, MA that kept her out of the USAT Elite National Championships, Petrella took her best Chicago finish ever in a very competitive women’s field.

Dan Mackenzie put in a strong effort and started the race with a well executed swim that placed him in 13th, his best swim of the year.  Continuing well on the bike, Mackenzie entered the run with hopes of a top 12 finish but the effort caught up to him and he faltered slightly on the run.  With a 36:13 run, he finished in 18th place.
