Branden Rakita continued his XTERRA success with an 8th place finish over the weekend at the Midwest Cup in Battle Creek, MI.

Normally one of the strongest swimmers on the XTERRA circuit, Rakita was challenged by the short 1000m swim on the course.  Undaunted, Rakita executed on all three disciplines to take 8th place.  The finish places him in 7th place in the XTERRA Cup Standings with 98 points.  He sits only 13 points out of 5th place and is the 4th American in the standings.

Rakita will compete again this weekend at the XTERRA Southeast Cup in Pelham, AL.
